so I can spend money on stuff like this
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I wouldn’t pay $7k for it, but I’d love to have an ITB-prepped AE86.

No need for a garage specifically. You just need space. I hope to have lots of land someday and just dedicate a bunch of it to parking projects on. Hopefully they will be functional projects but it is more likely I will end up with a junkyard lol.

Arrgh, race cars, so much fun but so much money/time/space/failed relationships/blank stares during conversation/sleep deprivation/poor diet.

Well if I had the land I’d still put at least a pop up barn or something to cover them with. I currently live just north of Chicago and street park, so no space for any race cars. :(

I could live with all of that. lol

The only one I haven’t had as a direct result of racing is the failed relationship, though my wife might feel differently if I actually owned a race car. Working on them takes care of all the other stuff.

Oh yeah same issue really. I have space to park my car at my apartment but they are really restrictive about using any other spaces. And they are absolute Nazis about doing any sort of maintenance in the lot. Id really like to stop dailying my Miata, especially in the winter.

My girlfriend puts up with my car nonsense pretty well, and knows that I want to own a race car once I’ve got the space. We will see how much her tune changes when I’ve actually got one. lol

Worth a shot, at least. My wife is amazing, and suffers my car habit with aplomb, but I rarely indulge it other than diecasts.

Hopefully its still some measure of street legal still. Then at least you won’t have to acquire too large of a garage and save a little money.
